Therapeutic benefits of VIGAMOX 5 mg / ml Eye drops, solution

Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis purulent ophthalmic, causedby susceptible strains to moxifloxacin (see section Warnings andPrecautions and Pharmacodynamics).
Consideration should be given to official guidance on the appropriate use of antibacterial agents.


Contraindications VIGAMOX 5 mg / ml Eye drops, solution

Hypersensitivity to the active substance, any excipients, or other quinolones.

INDICATIONS AND USAGE
ocular
Use in adults, including elderly patients
The dose is one drop 3 times daily in the eye (s) concerned (s).
Generally improves infection within 5 days and after treatment should be continued for 2-3 days. If no improvement after 5 daysof starting therapy should be reconsidered the diagnosis and / or treatment. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the condition and the clinical and bacteriological course of infection.
pediatric Patients

To avoid possible contamination of the dropper tip and solution,care must be taken not to touch the eyelids, surrounding areas orother surfaces with the tip of the bottle.
To prevent absorption of the drops through the nasal mucosa,especially in infants or children, to occlude the nasolacrimal ductfinger 2 to 3 minutes after administration of the drops.
If more than one topical ophthalmic medicine, applications of drugs must be administered at least 5 minutes.
